About Metropolitan Properties

Metropolitan Properties, Inc. commenced operation in February 1969.  The company’s business from inception was development, ownership, leasing, property management, and investment sales.

As a part of its evolution, Metropolitan Properties, Inc. formed a sister company, Metropolitan Contractors, Inc., which specializes in construction of interior improvements and property management services of all properties controlled by Metropolitan Properties, Inc. 

The company has developed in excess of 2,250,000 square feet of commercial properties in the Birmingham Alabama area and in Orlando and Boca Raton, Florida, including shopping centers, downtown high-rise office buildings, suburban office parks, office/service centers and an auto mall.

Today the company is also active in the acquisition and renovation of existing properties.

Our tenants have been and are largely national companies and strong locals.

Metropolitan Properties, Inc. has extensive experience in development, investment sales, owner-user sales, construction and renovation, leasing, financing and loan negotiation, property management and most other aspects of commercial property.
